Syrian Humanitarian Situation Worsens
U.S. Ambassador to Syria Robert Ford speaks at a press conference on the worsening humanitarian situation hosted by IRD and MEI, November 29 2012.
IRD and the Middle East Institute hosted US Ambassador to Syria Robert Ford, USAID's Mark Bartolini, Albert Cevallos of IRD, and Kelly Clements from the State Department's Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration for a conversation on the humanitarian dimension of the Syrian crisis.
IRD's CEO Dr. Arthur Keys released this statement on the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Syria. You can read more about IRD's work in the region on our website. One success story in particular highlights IRD support for the large influx of Syrian refugees in Ramtha and Mafraq, Jordan.
