IRD at the International Stability Operations Association Summit
IRD is a proud member of the International Stability Operations Association (ISOA), and is pleased to participate in this year's ISOA Annual Summit at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. From Afghanistan to Niger, organizations dealing in stability operations are working to rebuild communities by assisting vulnerable people, helping improve governance and mobilizing people to regenerate economic and social development. Because in the long run, stable and developing communities and nations are the key to peace and prosperity.
Speakers and panelists at this year's summit will ask critical questions like what are preventative stability operations achieving? What could stability organizations be doing better, and how should governments and other entities resource them as the pace of change accelerates? At 12:15 on Tuesday, October 16th, the keynote address, sponsored by PAE, will be delivered by IRD Advisory Board Member John Negroponte. IRD President and CEO Dr. Arthur B. Keys will be introducing him.
On Wednesday, October 17 at 7:30 a.m., IRD Chief of Compliance Jean Hacken will be featured on a morning breakfast workshop on the subject. It will kick off a full day of sessions featuring speakers from the Department of Defense, Department of State, USAID, the Department of Homeland Security, and the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
